I was asked to make an engagement cake for some friends. They wanted fondant icing, which I had never used before so decided I needed to have a practice go first. This is the result. I take a photo of all the cakes I make and this one is a permanent member of my 'Oh So Sad' collection. Fortunately, after a few more practice runs and a few tips from the net, the cake I made for them didn't turn out that bad.
