A Sgt. I work with came in one day "Mom!! Guess what? I'm getting married!" (No he isn't my son, but I have been given the title of "Platoon Mom" I listen to them, and give them Mom type advice.) Followed up with, "And I got orders to California, then Afghanistan." (My heart sank at that, I do love these kids like they were my own, they are all in the same age range), followed by, "Will you make me a groom's cake?"
