1St Birthday on Cake Central

This was my first half sheet cake! Wow what an experience lol It was a white cake with BC filling. Pooh was made with RI ... before I read about doing the frozen butter cream template (FBCT) method ... but made in the same general fashion. Lessons learned include: 1) make more than one in case they BREAK! ugh. 2) make sure the cake is a little more level. one side drooped a bit. 3) don't sweat the small stuff in the beginning because everyone loved it even if it wasn't "perfect" in my eyes. I used the Viva technique to smooth the icing. I liked how simple it was to do! Overall, it wasn't too bad though I need a turntable or better way to ice this big of a cake. It felt very cumbersome or that my hand would slip while turning the cake and take a big chunk out but that didn't happen thankfully lol Another thing I noticed is the blue icing started to bleed onto the white BC and I'm not exactly sure why yet.
