I made these turkeys for a friends Thanksgiving cake. I modeled each one after each person in her family. The Tom Turkey is her husband and the 3 little ones represent her and her 2 daughters :) Pooor Tom there got his tail broken the night before, so I had to make him a whole new one. Tom's body is RKTs covered in fondant, all the tails and all the flags are gumpaste. The girls are fondant. Thanks to aine2 (Lorraine) for her "Cheeky Chicks" tutorial. They were the inspiration for these silly Turkey Lurkeys! The cake was my first attempt with string work. The cake itself was spice cake with pumpkin cream cheese filling and frosting.
