Well, the title isn't entirely accurate, but pretty much. I've baked other cakes from boxes and such and I've done one other before this but that turned out totally wrong. So... I consider this my first cake. I tried a fondant but it cracked when I unrolled it onto the cake and even tore. What did I do wrong? Is it too dry, too moist? Any ideas? Suggestions/comments are welcome. I know I have a long way to go but I want to learn!
