This is the first purse cake I attempted. It is two 12 inch square cakes cut in half and stacked like a wedding cake. I carved it into the shape of a cake and iced it with butter cream, then covered it in brown fondant. The handles are fondant wrapped around fish tank tubing that has florists wire run through it. The zipper and other accents are also fondant and the design is painted with gold pearl dust mixed with lemon juice.
