I wanted to make a special Thanksgiving cake that the kids would enjoy, so I created a Backyardigans Thanksgiving scene. I was going to put pilgrim hats and bonnets on the characters, but it was more complicated than anticipated. Just getting the fondant/gumpaste the right colour for each character took hours, Anyway, I settled for a turkey on a platter and a few pumpkins to make the backyard more festive! ;-) The look on the kids' faces made all this work worthwhile!
