This Hawaiian Luau cake was for a relative's birthday. It is all edible except the tiki statue and the hula girl. The waterfall is white buttercream with sky blue colored piping gel on top. The water at bottom is blue buttercream. The sand is graham cracker crumbs. The palm trees are pretzel sticks with gum paste leaves. The coconuts are chocolate covered macadamia nuts. Orange flowers are royal icing. Bamboo stalks are hazelnut chocolate filled cookies. Rocks are marshmallow jelly beans. Swedish fish (gummy fish) are in the water. We added Wilton color flame candles along the waterfall. The different color flames were so pretty! This is just my second decorated cake and thanks to ideas from Cake Central it was a success!
