I just completed a beginner's cake decorating class, and this is my final cake. Both cakes are white and chocolate cake (alternating layers), with buttercream icing. The flowers are royal icing.

I'm not a huge fan of the basket-weave technique, but I utilized it here to cover up the poor job I did icing the sides of my larger cake.
