My cousin wanted a cap for her high school graduation. This was my first attempt at a cap, I think it turned out ok, but I learned some lessons for next time, like the tassel. I wanted to make the tassel, but I was having a horrible time with that so I settled for a store bought one. The cake and the mortar board are all done in buttercream icing. And yes, everyone had black tongues!
