I made this cake for my dad's 60th birthday - he's a HUGE LSU football fan. The body was hand carved from 2 16" square layers (each cut in half and stacked). The head was made from RKT (my first try at it). Fondant accents, entire cake hand painted. I learned a LOT while making this cake...it ALMOST landed in the "cake disasters" category. Unfortunately, it was pour rain when I had to leave home with the cake, and some of the color ran. Thanks to many cc members for the inspiration for this cake.
