This cake was covered in buttercream. The strips are marshmellow fondant and chocolate mixed together. The hand was a mold of my own hand which I poured white chocolate into to make the positive image. The hat was attached with a wooden base from the bottom of the cake and cardboard top all covered in marshmellow fondant. The tassle is a fiberoptic centerpiece that is powered by a battery attached at the base of cake. Found it in the floral section of a craft store.
