This cake was set up in a room with no A/C turned on that was 85 degrees. Im sure it got hotter when all the guests arrived but the top layer ended up sliding off after about 6 hours of sitting in the heat. (set up at 3, reception at 6, they didnt cut it til 9). It was supposed to have another tier but I was afraid to put it on because I had buttercream melting everywhere. This was in April and the venue was on the beach.
