Over all frosting Italian butter cream. Scroll and baroque design made with gum paste ( I added Tylose) and painted with super gold luster from Global Sugar Art. Bright deep maroon color was colored fondant. The inspiration for this cake came from Romantic Wedding Cakes by K. Vincent.
