This was for my son's first birthday. It is a Russian Layered Honey Cake with Dulce de Leche buttercream frosting (basketweave). The handle is made out of puff pastry, nuts are shaped nut cookies with the same buttercream filling as the cake, mushrooms have meringue stems and cookie tops covered with chocolate, leaves are made with fondant and hand-painted.
