A Christmas Gift

A Christmas Gift on Cake Central

I forgot to take a picture at home, so this was taken with my phone. i made it for some good friends of mine. its a 6" shaped pan, was my 1st attempt at covering a cake like this, and then to do some crimping... agggh what was i thinking, !! I decided to have a go with some built up candles, and holly leaves, when and if theres a next time i now know to do a dot line at the same height around it.. and follow it. and not my eye. LOL

Well, I for one, think it's GR8! I have bought crimpers, but not used them yet and love your input! Thanks.

with crimpers it helps to use an elastic band twisted around and around, set at a depth you like, (test it on some scrap fondant, you will see what i mean) the lacker band helps with it not springing open wide, and that helps make it more uniform in size. I hope that helps..
