Pineforest
I loved doing this cake! It's hard to tell, but the back of the tiers are all lined up so that the front sort of looks like stairs. It's done in a very light blue fondant, with real pinecones and pine needles on it. I painted the pinecones with acrylic paint so they would look "snow-covered".
I love the stairstep effect - what size tiers did you use? I think it looks very contemporary, NICE :)
Thanks very much! I used a 6", 8" and 10" square, but you could use bigger tiers for a bigger stair effect (the couple didn't want that much cake!)
