Ms. Coward's cake had an actual ribbon threaded through the fondant. We aren't huge fondant fans at our house, but I wanted to try see if I could get the same effect. It's not as elegant as her's, but I think it does sort of look like a ribbon that has been threaded through the icing. This was a fun and easy cake to do.
