little_baker on 29 Dec 2007 , 4:34pm Sorry! What my 6 year-old is trying to say is that it looks like it is real. Sorry!
pattyasken on 29 Dec 2007 , 4:57pm LOL! I was a little confused. Thanks for letting me know!
FromScratch on 29 Dec 2007 , 8:01pm LOL.. I was thinking it was German or something.. Great cake!
BeckySue on 29 Dec 2007 , 9:36pm I saw Duff do a cake like this one...yours is just as cute as his! (Actually, I like yours better - his was blue....) Great Job!! :D
kmk on 30 Dec 2007 , 1:33am How do you make candy clay. This cake is awesome. Did you dowel rod the cake to keep the fishbowl from sinking? I just love this.
pattyasken on 30 Dec 2007 , 1:08pm Thanks! With the candyclay you can get a lot more detail than with fondant. Tastes better, too. Wilton has a recipe for candyclay in the back of their yearbooks. Easy to work with -- use heat as your "glue" to piece together.
pattyasken on 30 Dec 2007 , 1:11pm I used three plastic cake supports (looks like big straws) inside.
servingzero on 29 Dec 2007 , 4:07am fantastic! You did a wonderful job (and a creative photo, I might add!) I love the 'rolling' gumballs placed haphazardly around, so cute

I agree with DebbieSue - yours is cuter than Duff's...
