Ganache With Scrolls

Ganache With Scrolls on Cake Central

Double fudge cake filled with milk chocolate, cappuccino buttercream, frosted with a thin layer of the bc and then covered in ganache with plain bc scrolls....... oh and just wanted to say I was inspired by one of Thanh Thanh's cakes that had some hearts around the edge........although I didn't do the scrolls the same way, just liked the idea of the hearts!

you guys are just too nice, thanks so much.....GI I added the corn syrup in with the cream while it was heating up...it was as simple as can be....xxxtina...I don't really have any secrets to the roses (i still don't think I make them very well.......I did freeze them though so I wouldn't mess them up too much putting them on the cake...I"m not very careful with stuff  )

xxtina I have never been able to do a wilton rose but my instructor said to use a Hershey's kiss for the base.Maybe that will help.

I can totally see how you got the design from her. I thought it looked a lot like one of hers when I first saw the picture on the front page. Good work!

This is totally awesome. My daughter who is 4 and a chocoholic would love this cake! Is ganache difficult to do?

Super job! You managed to pull off splendidly, what I find to be quite tricky....decorating on ganache... ;-D ;-D

thanks everyone, mclean ganache is NOT difficult to work with at all!! I've only ever made it one time before......it's super easy......I just used 2 cups of cream and two bags of dark choc. chips and a couple tbsp. of corn syrup boil the cream add to the choc. and voila ganache, I let it sit for a min. and then poured it on top and that's it~!~ I made a lot more than I needed though 1 cup and 1 bag of chips would have been plenty but I wanna make truffles

Thanks for the recipe! Did you addthe corn syrup in at the end with the chocolate? The pink on the chocolate is a nice color combo. Must've been a pain to do hearts around the edge like that!
