Let's Go Golfing!
Golf-themed cake for a man's birthday whose other major interest is his border collie. Hazelnut cake with chocolate ganache buttercream. Buttercream grass marks my very first time using a piping bag (I chose the easy way out huh!) Accents are 50/50 fondant/gumpaste, but the big golf club has spaghetti inside for stability. Golf bag was modeled after one done by helipops (thanks!) The "crease" at the bottom of the cake is actually a reflection from the cake pedestal.

Really good job. The doggie is just precious. I bet since he loves his dog, he was thrilled. I'd love it if someone made me a cake with one of my doggies on it. I'm glad to see your icing turned out good.
