Okay all you MMF Savvy decorators: I'm having a problem with my MMF: Do you always add gumpaste to make a bow? If so do you use a 50/50 mixture?
Next question: How long do you let your loop dry before assembling?
Next question: When assembling do you put adhevise after each layer or do you just use one "glob" in the middle? Especially those of you that use the watered down MMF--what's the best way to assemble. I couldn't get the loops to stick in the middle without smooshing the loops, and then they drooped.
Any suggestions?
BTW-I did follow the tutorial on this site but it seems to leave out a few steps?
TIA
I let my loops dry fully before assembling. I use royal icing to hold everything together and apply the icing in layers as I add my loops. I have used pure MMF and I have also added gum tex powder to my MMF, just depends on how long I have to dry the pieces.

I use royal to assemble. I put one blob for the initial row then add a touch of it to the ends of the loops as I place them.
Normally, I would allow my loops to dry for 2 days. I have been rushed a time or two and only gave them a few hours in front of a small fan.
I don't use a combination of anything...it's always, all mmf, all fondant, all gumpaste, all chocolate...
I don't get a limpy problem except on the rushed ones.
