i may be over reacting 
but I uploaded two new cakes this morning,(which I haven't done for a few months) and was looking forward ALL DAY to get back to my time on the computer,and check if there were comments be it good or critisism. only one comment and hardly any views 
I thought I did good this time too. has anyboby else had this feeling before??
Know how you feel, but usually when I post a reply, I get some to look at my photos. I know that I look at photos when I post in a forum...and yours are GREAT!! When you get discouraged, just remember that there are soooo many HELPFUL people on here that the blessings of the info outway the occasional bump your photos get!!
I have CC bookmarked to the General board page and so I miss the newly uploaded pics and have to remind myself to go back and look. I usually check once a week and just scroll back til I see things that I recognize. I keep meaning to change the bookmark, but I'm lazy.

I have dial-up, so I come to the computer late at night. The little time I have, I mostly use on the forums. Besides, the galleries take so long that I get sleepy waiting for the pics to show!
I got to see some pics tonight because of this thread.

Yeah I uploaded 3 yesterday - not much ringing the ole "you have mail" sound! 
At first it drove me crazy-then I chalked it up to the galleries having a glitch in them today and everyone wanted to make comments but were having problems doing it....yeah that is it a glitch . It just reminds me to make more comments on other pics. I know how much I enjoy it so I need to do better for others! 
You know, I was shocked that the last two cakes I uploaded didn't get any comments for at least 2 days! Not that they were spectacular or anything, but it just doesn't usually take that long to hear something. We all love that feedback, don't we? I'm a sucker for it.
I know it is disappointing when I only get one or two comments on my cakes. My cakes are not the greatest but I try hard and I am proud of what I have been able to do.
That said, it is difficult to keep up with new cakes being uploaded. I usually get on every evening and look at the forums and go through the 'last uploads' until I get to ones I have seen before. But if I am really busy or miss a couple of days (bigtime withdrawal) it can take a long time just to look at the cakes.
Yesterday, I looked at uploads and there were 40 pages of cakes uploaded in the past 3 days!

I feel you all! I just said to DH last night. It really bums me out when a client is totally floored over a cake and then I post it to CC and....nothing! I told him that maybe everyone around CC is alot harder to impress than "regular folk". Nevertheless, I keep trying!
I love the "no ding" comment...I live for it too. You know what I like even better than someone marking it as their favorite? When they PM me and ask me if I would mind passing on my directions!!!! (I'm an Aquarian...what can I say?)
