My daughter was bound and determined to make this cake. I thought she might be biting off more than she could chew, but she proved her old mom wrong! BTW, she's only 17. We took the three Wilton classes together and her talent just amazes me. Just a proud mom bragging on her kid! LOL

See it turned out great! I am so proud of her for doing it and proving you wrong, hehehehe... My little girl is nearly 4 swears when she is older she is going to decorate cakes, funny! I love the 2 sided effect and the flowers, makes it girlie.. so see the superbowl isn't only about men!

She did a great job! Very cool! If you don't mind my asking, what kind of cheesecake is it made of and is it covered in buttercream?
I'm sure it will taste as good as it looks!

Thanks, everyone! I'll make sure to show her this post. She'll be thrilled. Actually, this wasn't a cheesecake, just designed after one we saw online. It is four layers, alternating white and dark chocolate cake, carved into a helmet shape and iced in buttercream. She tried to make the face guard out of MMF, but it was too dry and kept falling apart. She ended up using black pipe cleaners instead.

Great job! My daughter and I wanted to go to class together but she's only 10 and I didn't want to spend double the money on all the stuff we'd need. She helps me out occassionally. Some of the daisies done on my wishing well cake were done by her.
