I made a reminder to check this website under cake photos every couple weeks. I'm not sure when they change the photos but they are amazing and I always like to look at them.

ICES is a great organinzation to join. They send out s newsletter that is full of information regarding local and not-so-local events! They have terrific cake designs in each newsletter and lots of helpful "tips".

I joined last month. Although I haven't got the newsletter yet, I can't wait to go to one of the meetings. There is one in Columbus, GA, which is about 45 mins for me icon_lol.gif . Finally, I get to meet some people in person. No offense to you all on the board. I enjoy the board very much. No one I know enjoys cooking and baking the way I do! icon_cry.gif

There is a weekend event coming up in april in NC (sponsored by ICES) that I am going to. It's a 4 hour drive but I'm going anyway! the instructor is Toba Garrett...I hope to learn bunches!!

COOL! Can you give some info on Toba Garrett? I am still trying to learn who everyone is. Of, course I know Collette Peters is.

BTW, Wedding weekend is this weekend on Food Network. Set your VCRS!

OK, now I know who she is. I bought her book. Very good. I'm going to try her recipes in the back (when I get a chance). She has a buttercream recipe and I want to see if it's much different than mine. I'm still having problems with the air bubbles icon_sad.gif . Maybe hers is better.

When you'll start receiving your monthly news , can you tell us if it's worth 32 $ ? 'Cause i'm from Canada and 32$ is almost 45 $ for me !

I've been a member for awhile now and IMHO it is worth every penny. I read it over and over.....until the next one comes in! Even better than that is the American Cake Decorating and Mailbox News! thumbs_up.gif

i decided not to register for the newsletter at this time but just look at their website once in a while for new photos. i thought it was expensive too. Maybe down the road.....
