How funny! I love all of the thoughts you guys are posting on this. Poor Grant, he has no idea that we are all really laughing *at* him and not *with* him. ![]()
Perfect! My son's name is Grant!!!
Do you think it will keep until May???
if it's a cake from Wally WOrld, IT WILL! it is probably already over a year old!
HA HA HA HA ...HE HEE HEE HEE HAW HAW snort! HEE HEE HEE ~~~GASP!!!!~~~~
oh that was a funny one!
I think that Grant must have been given the cake, and being the smart guy that he is, he refused to eat it since it's store bought. He must have decided that the only course of action to take would be to pawn it off. Perhaps he was hoping that someone from CC would see this, feel sorry for him, and bake him a personalized confection to celebrate his milestone birthday in trade for the sad little cake that he got.
Who's going to step up and be a big enough person to do the right thing for Grant???
Either way, poor Grant. There can't be a happy little tale to go along with this. Anything that leads you to trading your birthday cake online can't be good.
OH
MY
GOSH
What did Grant do to deserve this?
I am wetting my pants laughing down here!!!
thanks for the heads up..and NO ...It's not my listing..hahaha!!!
well, that's what he gets!!!
NO CAKE FOR HIM!!!!!
Okay, RB, I was laughing hysterically before, but now, I am actually caught up in a coughing frenzy and wiping tears from my eyes! Oooooh! My sides ache!
Too funny!!!!!!
Here's my latest email sent to our dear Grant:
I'm sorry, Grant, I just noticed that you're in Northern Virginia. I'm in southern NC. I apologize for wasting your time. I do have to ask why you are trading your birthday cake.
Sincerely,
Derby
I'll let y'all know if he replies.
If someone from the government buys this cake would that make it a Federal Grant?[/quote]![]()

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's my email:
Hi! What flavor is the cake and what color are the candles? Can you email me a picture?
Thanks!
Here's his reply to my email:
Chocolate Cake with vanilla icing, yellow accents, measures about 1 foot x 8 inches, candles are pink, yellow, blue, and green all white stripes running down them (like a barber shop pole). I bet its very delicious. Let me know what you have to trade, thanks.
Grant
GRANT IS TRADING HIS OWN CAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"I bet it's very delicious"??? I'll bet it was, a month ago when it was FRESH!! ![]()
My curiosity made me go to ebay and I could not find any cakes to bid on.
I put a link in my post to the discussion we had on this subject almost a year ago, and in that thread, in the very first post, is a link to see one person's cakes for sale on ebay. Click the links! ![]()

There someone on Ebay selling DING DONGS
.... Are there really people out there that can't buy these at their local grocery store? ![]()

Yes, there are areas where people cannot get the treats they remember from childhood.
For instance, when my friend's son was in the US Army, he was stationed in Washington state and Alaska. He could not get Tastykakes in either area at that time, so we contacted Tastykake directly and had some sent to him.
