If you use a light weight container how do you keep the container from tipping from the weight of the cookies?

If you're going to have a large number of good sized cookies, your container will have to be sturdy enough to accommodate them.

When I make cookie bouquets using the chinese take out type containers I use clear marbles and a piece of styrofoam to construct. I usually hot glue on some paper shred to cover the styrofoam.

I bought the cheapest bag of dry beans to help with this problem. Pour some in the bottom of your container and top with the foam.

I usually try to balance the cookies so that it is not top-heavy but unfortunately sometimes it can't be avoided. Sooo, I hot glue the styrofoam to the bottom of the package and then top with those clear/colored glass rocks. Looks pretty, and solves the problem. thumbs_up.gif

I bought a huge bag of jolly ranchers to weight mine with. It was a little extra goodie after the cookies were gone.

In a pinch, I've used aquarium gravel under the styrofoam.

This is what I use as well-very economical for a large bag. I have used candy as weights as well.

I use real terracotta pots, the ones they use for plants. And floral foam.

For terra cotta and plastic pots - I've gone through the trouble of weighting them down with plaster of paris. It's sort of messy, but works very well. I like the gravel idea - I'm going to try that next time.
