Hey!

Been decorating for awhile, but haven't done an edible ink printer in awhile.
Was excited to see the ink on amazon, and much easier for me to purchase and ship than previous out of country.

ANYWAYS, it seems a lot has changed.
I was always using rice paper, which you peel or slide off a waxy background, and apply to cake, either wet icing or a little water for fondant.

Now I seem to only find wafer paper.
Is rice paper no longer used?
I purchased some 0.3 thick wafer paper, and don't mind the looks. It seems thick on the cake. I've seen on forums here that shortening is the best way to apply, and I've found that's worked. I've just noticed its harder to cut and separates easier than the rice paper has.
Any hints/tricks?
Or where I can purchase rice paper? (canada)

Thanks ahead! Can't wait for replies and help!
