Hi Ladies!

I'm hoping this works.  Follow the link to see a picture of what I'm talking about.

This cake has a fern and floral look on the sides.  I'm pretty sure the flowers are wafer paper but what are the ferns made of?  Surely they are not actual ferns.???

What do ya'll think?

It looks like an asparagus fern to me. Do not get confused with a house plant called asparagus fern, I'm talking about the fern that is produced by the asparagus plat, the same plant where you harvest asparagus from. I do not know if the leaves or fern are toxic, but the red fruit it bears, surely is poisonous.

Thanks Reggie,

Geepers, I don't know why I didn't realize it mostly resembled an asparagus after it had "ferned out".  Thanks again!

They could be edible ferns on the cake. There are 3 edible ferns, ostrich fern, lady fern, and bracken fern.  Pretty cake.
