The theme requested by Cake4Kids was Oreos.   3 layers 6” Chocolate cake with chunks of Oreos added; crushed cookies added to the b’cream which was used as filling as well as overall icing,

I went to 4 stores and all I could find was yellow candy melts.  I thinned it a bit w/oil but it still was thick & didn’t run as I wanted:(  Lots Of Firsts HereLots Of Firsts Here

It is gorgeous and the children will love it!  Other people never notice things like the consistency of the drip.  Neither would I, if you had not mentioned it.  You can add a little corn syrup to help thin your candy melts and it makes it super shiny too.
