Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone knows what this technique might be called - it's very similar to the textured watercolour cakes with buttercream - but seems a bit different and I'm not sure what it is! Anyone know?

(Just the colour on the cake, not the flowers)

Thanks

I don't know if it has a name, but it appears to be buttercream painted on with a pallet knife.

Yes it is a beautiful color, Lynne and it is so affective on the square cake.

Agree with what is posted ^^^^^^ buttercream or royal icing spread on with a palette knife or spatula.
