HELP! I am a self taught proficient Custom Cake Designer. I took a hiatus but decided to make my first Geode Cake for a Customer.  I DESPERATELY NEED to know the best way to store it once completed. I have a Commerci Refrigerator but don't want the rock sugar to melt. HELP!!!!

Sorry I never made a geo cake nor worked w/hard candy.   No idea about that type of  refrigerator

emy though would be if you box the cake then wrap it in a plastic bag or wrap it w/2-3 layers of plastic wrap it should be ok   Leave wrapped when removed for at least an hr or 2

I've used Jolly Rogers in a sculpture and it melted at room temperature, over night.  I used rock candy for the geode cake and it showed no sign of melting or softening.

I just made a geode cake for my daughter and i used rock candy crystals.  I refrigerated it overnight and then brought it to the hotel we stayed at and left it out for a couple of hours and it held up just fine
