Hi everyone, im a newbie at making gumpaste flower. What confectioner sugar do you use? Here in australia we have 2 types. 1. Pure Confectioner sugar 2. Soft Mixture confectioner sugar which contains 4% cornstarch. Which one should I use? Thank you in advance.

I don't think I can answer that question.  Although I make gum paste all the time, I am in the USA and we only have one type of confectioner's sugar (to my knowledge).  I am pretty sure it does not contain any cornstarch.

I stand corrected!  When it says Pure Cane Sugar, I took it at its word, lol.

I just checked my Walmart brand and it does list cornstarch as the second ingredient.  See, you are never too old to learn something.
