I have bought a airbrush but came with no compressor so had to buy a 750ml can of badger propellant to spray 6'' layer 1.5 inch thick on a cake in couple days time. I have bought a compressor machine but I don't think it will arrive in time.. How long will 750ml can last to spray one colour?

I never used a can  just a compressor  sorry can’t help better

my guess is it should be enough for your job but spray lightly   You can always add more after the light coating so be sure to have the whole cake at least a light shade

I've never even heard of the canned propellent, but I have used Wilton spray colors, which would probably give approximately the same coverage.  My Wilton cans are 15 ounces or 443.60 ml.  Depending upon how dense you require the color, I think your 750 ml should be enough.  I used two of the Wilton cans to spray an 8" x 4" tier gold that started with white fondant.
