Hi guys! Wondering if anyone has had experience with commercial mixers. Looking to make a serious upgrade and have no clue where to start. Would need to be able to wrangle large batches of bread dough as well as cookie dough and cake batter. Thinking 20qt will be sufficient but again, not totally sure. What brand do you love/hate? Thanks for any input!

I am a hobby baker, so unable to advise.  I have a five quart Artisan and seven quart pro model KitchenAid and they serve me well.  I use the seven quart for making bread all the time.  Hobart is the brand of commercial mixer I always  hear praised.

If I remember right Hobart is “the name” brand in commercial mixers & ovens.  Looks to restaurant supply stores probably can find a used/refurbished one  .   I think the smallest size would be a 10 qt

define "large batch of bread dough"

if you have been here less than thirty days -- you need to start a new discussion thread to reply

I never had to research what was available.  Never heard anyone mention anything smaller than the 10 qt:)
