I have heard alot of people here say that they have issues with quick evaporation while painting with luster/petal/sparkle dust, colors with extracts ect. I just wanted to share this little tip...here is what i use. It is very nice because i can close it up as i use different colors and the container itself if so small it doesnt evaporate as quickly as if i had it in a large bowl. I got small empty containers like these at hobby lobby in the paint /craft section for like .50 cents. wonderful! still have an evaporation but not nearly as quick. AND when i am finished painting, i close them up and save the remaining paint for the next time. i also use a dropper (candy aisle at hobby lobby -bag of 4 for $2) to add a bit more alcohol as i need it.

Brilliant!!! Im gonna go get some!! I just use whatever i have on hand and it does pain me when I have to wash the container out to see all the luster dust left over ($$) going down the drain. That dust ain't cheap! Thanks!

i have one of these but didnt even think to use it before. i do like the paint containers though because while using one color, the others can stay covered so they dont evaporate. plus they are so cheap. the only problem is they are small so if you need a larger amount of paint for a big surface you'd want a bigger container.

I like that, I am off to find one at our Michaels too. Thanks for the tip. I save my empty dusts containers and do the same thing, but they are all separate or single containers. It would be handy to have them all together like this if you are working with more than one color.

How about trying medicine/vitamin holders. You know the holders that hold your medicine for the week. They have the easy close lid. You can buy those at Walmart for $.97. It will hold up to 7 colors.

Just an Idea!
