A few days ago I made a White cake that needed only 6 egg whites, no egg yolks. Now I'm trying to use the leftover 6 egg yolks, but am having a hard time finding a recipe that even uses 6 egg yolks! I've found ones that use 3 egg yolks, and even one with 5 egg yolks. But I want to use all 6 egg yolks in the same recipe.
I don't want to make creme brulee, or even pudding. It doesn't have to be a cake recipe necessarily. Help!!
You could certainly use all 6 in either of them— it will probably just make it richer — especially the recipe calling for 5 Or double the other:) I just googled “recipe using 6 egg yolks “ & found doz of ideas!
You can use your yolks in most recipes that call for whole eggs.....like cornbread calls for two eggs, you could use four or even all of the yolks instead. Make a nice yellow cake and use all six yolks, etc.
Yup......kakeladi/lynne ....there’s lots of recipes for using up egg yolks.....just Google. ❤️
I would make custard, curd or ice cream... Yum ice cream, now I want some (and it's 8:20am...) ha ha
Laetia I made ice cream yesterday. Just with plain vanilla yogurt. But egg yolks will make a lovely rich yogurt..❤️
