ive been working on cupcake recipies and found one that i really like, i make everything from scratch and it cost me just under $6 to make 42 of them. i was thinking about princing the $2 each however i keep getting told by bakers that my prices are too low. im scared to raise them any since many people think im inexperienced since im young and havent taken any classes, i feellike if i raise it anymore than that people wont buy any.

Divide 6 into 42 It certainly is more than $2! Your cost per cupcake just for ingredients is more than $2 & that does not include such expenses as rent, gas for shopping , gas & electric for baking, insurance, nor paying yourself for all the time it takes you away from family! When someone under prices like that it hurts not only themselves it hurts others who are trying to cover their expenses In essence you are giving them away — you are paying customers to take them from you! STOP being the cheap cake lady! You are hurting others :(
