Hi everyone, I’m trying to figure out how to attach this board that goes behind the cake? It’s supposed to be sturdy enough to handle the weight of the decorations. I thought about using a foam core and adhered with a glue gun, but I don’t think it’ll stay in place, it’ll probably be very wobbly. I haven’t seen this design before and searched online but found no tutorials. Please help, and thanks!

I would use plywood or partical board.  Cut the backboard the size you desire, then cut a second board the same size upon which the cake will set.  Screw the two pieces together along the back edge of the horizontal board.
