Hello,

I'm planning my first ever wedding cake and would like some advice please. The bride and groom would like a mixed tier cake consisting of one fruit tier and two buttercream tiers. I'm struggling to envisage what it would like and can't find anything online. Am I using the correct term?

Thanks so much,

Angela

Are you planning to cover the fruit cake with marzipan?  If so, if the buttercream is smooth iced, it will not appear a lot different.

You may not be able to reply directly to this post.  If not, just start a new one and refer back to this one by name.

As Sandra said just get the b’cream as smooth as possible and one can hardly tell the difference:) Also as she said just start a new post referring to the one you are talking about if you have any thing more to say about any post
