For some reason I cant reply to the thread I started in the sugar work forum about this. I have been trying to reply forever to no avail. The recipe is 43% glucose syrup (corn syrup) and sugar mixed, rolled out, and left to set. Can be set on a nonstick mat or slipat in the shape of your layer cake. Once set or perhaps prior to being fully set you wrap your cake with it to achieve this beautiful texture. Appears to be 3 tbsp of syrup and 1-2 cups of granulated sugar. The video I saw was in Russian and I have yet to try it but will report back here when I do.
Oh sorry no one explain to you that you wouldn’t be able to reply to any post for about 30 days—glad you figured out to just start a new post:) And thank you for that info! I know several are interested & surely will be experimenting
