I bought a tub of the gray color, but it tastes almost like canned frosting from the store? Does the basic white taste better, or different?

I mixed it with butter and some good quality vanilla and it tasted way better, and whipped it a lot. I made one with some good quality cocoa powder too and some cool melted chocolate and that tasted better as well.

Thanks!
