They don’t have to be about cake decorating! Take a look at magazines like “air dry clay” (Use gumpaste/fondant with tylose added) scrapbooks & cards” even “birds & blooms “ are just a few that can give you an idea for a design Don’t skip taking a close look at the ads either :)
I agree, kakeladi! All of these are great places for inspiration. My closest neighbors, three of them, are card makers extraordinar and seeing their work sets my mind on fire! The great thing about it is that they own every card that has ever been invented for a Cricut machine and they will work with my Cake Cricut. Sad that I never seem to want to do that kind of cake.
I had to explain to hubby why it took me so long in the Ladies' Room when we went to get our oil changed a couple of years ago. I had to get pics of the artwork hanging in there because my mind just went wild with the possibilities in cake. They were gorgeous drawings of women in cute little hats with just part of their faces visible.
So keep your eyes open - you never know when you'll see something perfect.
Yes, yes, yes..........there is inspiration everywhere. For some reason I'm drawn to books and magazines. Other magazines are woodworking/crafting. Many ideas are everywhere if you cand take some time to really LOOK - as you said, even in a public bathroom! LOL
