How Many Cups Of Batter In A Hershey's Chocolate Cake Recipe
Baking By BakerBaker19 Updated 29 Jan 2020 , 4:11pm by SandraSmiley
Hi everyone!
I have a really large order, which I'm using the Hershey's Perfectly Chocolate Chocolate Cake recipe for. Does anyone know how many cups of batter this recipe makes... There are several different sized tiers, so I'm trying to plan for all of my ingredient quantities. TIA! :)
I've made that recipe about a thousand times, but I have never measured the batter. I always baked it in three, two inch cake pans. Although it is scrumptious, I would not use it for a tiered cake because it is so tender and delicate. For tiered chocolate cakes, I use kakeladi's *Original* WASC recipe, chocolate version. It is delicious and much more sturdy.
Hay Sandra that’s a weird link or is my phone acting up again Thanks for the shout-out for my recipe:) Hope they find it
I don't know what happened, kakeladi???? I had the recipe pulled up, but the info in the search field kept saying Pinterest, no matter where I was. I'll try again.

Thank you so much for the recipe link, I will check that out. I just realized I should have reworded my post... The order is for multiple cakes, all different sizes. So I should have said all of the cakes are different sizes, not tiers. Sorry for the confusion, I'm having a crazy week! :p
Then you should have absolutely no trouble with single tiered cakes of different sizes using the Hersey's Perfectly Chocolate recipe. If it seems a little unstable, use three dowels, just for insurance. I do that frequently with my more fragile cakes.
