Hi I’m making a large cake for my friends wedding and can’t seem to find a cake recipe large enough please help!! Or if you know how to scale up a recipe from a 8x8 to a 18x24 that would be great!

I would take the easy way out and make a triple recipe and if there was any left over battle, bake it in a small cake pan or cupcake pan.

8" x 8"?  What kind of recipe, besides maybe brownies, is scaled for one 8" x 8" pan?

By the way, will an 18" x 24" pan fit in your oven?  It will not fit in mine.

What Sandra said is the way to go  but I don’t think even triple is going to be enough  I’ve used 2 recipes of my *original* WASC recipe in a 12x18 pan   That would be about the same amount of batter as 3  of your recipes —& only enough for a 12x18 pan!   Do you actually have a 18x24 pan or is that the size you want the cake to be?   Are you baking a 12x9 pan twice?   As Sandra mentioned very few if any home ovens can hold such a large pan
