Using Baby’S Breath To Decorate

I will be baking some cupcakes for a friends 21st birthday and wanted to decorate using baby’s breath flowers on top of the icing. From my research, there flowers are toxic and so I was wondering if there’s any way around it so that I can still use it to decorate on top.

Place plastic wrap or waxed paper on the icing?   Do not stick the stems in unless wrapped with a bit of wet cotton then well in foil
