I recently started my home-based bakery. I’ve been baking for friends and family for years, but now I’ve gone through the process of getting licensed/inspected to sell to the public, and I’m looking for places to sell my baked goods. Has anyone had experience partnering with a florist? I was thinking with Valentine’s Day coming up that that might be a good place to start. Any advice?

Years ago (like 40)  what I did was to make up flyers and samples lg cookies for V day & took them around to banks, office buildings, hair salons & any other place with large populations asking if they would put up the flyer in their break room   They were 10” cookies decorated with dozens of different love sayings   Don’t know if the pictures are still working here but you might find them in my album   Once I started delivering them I got 10x more orders that day -still delivering at 9 pm :)   Another thing I did was offer a free b’day cake to the tellers @ the bank I delt with  made 8” single layer which resulted in more exposure & orders    Doesn’t hurt to ask anyone—anywhere   I even put flyers on car windows a time or two

BTW  the cookies were easy to make from cake mix —3 per mix   Then I found a recipe for making up the mix myself so I could offer different flavors   They bake up in just minutes so you can make dzns in a few hours

YES!!  And they are good.   Just mix with some egg and oil.  I think there are a couple of recipes on this site.  Or google it for tons :) BTW - that's three 10" heart cookies or one 16" round LOL
