I don't understand what you mean by out holding your tip straight up and down do you move your wrist up and down are side ways motion to get the 1:00 and 3:00 position sorry
Just want to say if the top of the petals crack/split don’t worry! It just makes them more realistic looking:) Many have posted almost in tears-they want “perfect “ petals but I strive to have my icing stiff enough that they do have some jagged edges Another thing that contributes to jagged edges is not turning the nail fast enough when squeezing out the petal
