Making Smbc With Homemade Peanut Butter

Has anyone tried making SMBC using homemade peanut butter? I worry that the peanut butter would be too runny and oily for the buttercream to hold its structure. Our local brands on peanut butter don't have enough flavour. And brands like American Garden or Skippy are a bit too expensive here, which is why I was thinking of using homemade peanut butter. Any tips or previous experience will be appreciated!
