Owl Cake

I’m trying to make this owl cake for my daughter’s Harry Potter birthday.  I was just wondering what tip I should use to make the feathers.  Thanks for any help!

A large star tip was used   I don’t remember the #s but something like maybe a 30? Or it might be in the 20s  like 23    Not a super large star tip just the largest of the “ normal “ ones :)

This is very cute.  I would think you could use any fairly large star tip.  There is no need for the "feathers" to be a particular size.
